Sophiaworks at Sophia Gardens
Glamorgan Cricket’s Sophiaworks is now Cardiff’s biggest Bonfire Night event, held inside the Sophia Gardens cricket ground in Pontcanna (CF11 9XR), a short walk from the city centre. Is Sparks in the Park Happening in 2026?
We haven’t found any sign of it. Sparks in the Park at Cooper’s Field in Bute Park, run by Cardiff Round Table for charity, was long billed as the biggest fireworks display in Wales, but we can’t find a listing for it since 2017. Some websites still repeat old details, so check before you travel. Sophiaworks has effectively taken over as the city’s big Bonfire Night show.
Fireworks in Cardiff Bay
Lo Lounge in Cardiff Bay (Heol Porth Teigr) has a Fireworks Night listed for Wednesday 4 November 2026 from 5:30pm. In 2025 it ran a series of evenings across Bonfire Night week, with food, drinks and views of fireworks over the Bay. Book directly with the venue.
