Peterborough fireworks: A beautiful end to an amazing custom

Fireworks display has been an ongoing trend setting the sky on fire every year with an amazing fireworks display. The Peterborough 2024 fireworks show was a night to remember. After more than 40 years in history, the Firework fiesta which was an event totally organised by the Peterborough Minister Club managed the event in 2018. The event was no longer taking place due to rising costs as well as funding issues. Even though, a whopping amount of £600,000 was collected, the event still lacked resources.

A new beginning: Peterborough’s Firework Fantasia

Gates: The gates opened at 4 pm.

Starting of the event: The event was expected to start around 10 pm sharp.

The fireworks were the city’s main attraction, lighting up the sky with a vibrant and colorful display.

• Activities for all

Before the display, to keep the audience entertained, live music, live performances were set up as well. Moreover, for young children, a soft play area was also organised and set up for all children to play safely.

• Entertainment fair

Apart from live performances, different types of games, rides for all ages to enjoy the event were present as well! Other than that, different animated characters such as Shrek were present to take pictures with children and set the stage on fire with their presence and performance.

• Food stalls

Who wouldn’t want to enjoy an event if you’ve got all types of food and drinks according to your choice? The event included all kinds of food stalls with a vast variety of different types of food for all attendees. From burgers, pizzas and shakes to lemonades, coffees they got you all covered.

  • Bonfire will start at 7:15 pm sharp.
  • Fireworks will begin at 7:30 pm sharp.

  • For Adults: £9
  • Children under the age of 16: £4
  • Family consisting of 2 adults as well as 2 children: £23
  • Under the age of 3: Free

Looking back on the Event

The Firework Fantasia and the Castor fireworks was an event which was enjoyed by all with a remarkable setup. People highly appreciated the setup which was continued after a great gap of forty years. However, many people looked forward to a extended fireworks display thinking that the 2024 fireworks didn’t last longer. Of course, who would want fireworks to end so early?

The events which took place in 2024 was a huge success keeping in mind the safety protocols which were taken into consideration along with celebration and fun activities for all audience.
