Delivery

Why Is Delivery Of Fireworks So Expensive?

All fireworks are classed as explosives and unfortunately delivering explosives is extremely difficult with only a select number of couriers in the United Kingdom specialising in doing so. We are of course, unable to send them through normal couriers (i.e. Hermes, DPD, UPS and etc.) and therefore delivery costs are significantly higher than everyday items. On average it tends to cost us a minimum of £50-65 to send anything and therefore we do subside this, charging much less depending on your order value.

Due to the recent changes to UK Firework Regulations on the transportation of hazardous goods and the unprecedented increase in diesel costs, our outdoor firework carriage costs have increased dramatically. As a means of minimising customer charges, we have absorbed the majority of the costs ourselves.

We understand that delivery does seem expensive and therefore do everything we can to discount it as much as possible, while also providing an unrivalled level of service. If you do however have any questions regarding delivery costs please get in touch with us on 07931 714846 / 07402 825805.

We can only deliver to Mainland UK – For other destinations please get in touch with us on 07931 714846 or email [email protected].

It is the customers responsibility to ensure someone is available to accept delivery or the carriers may make an additional charge for redelivery.

Please make sure there will be someone (aged 18 years or over) at the delivery address to  accept the firework delivery.

How We Deliver

We use a Specialist Hazardous Goods Delivery Service Company. Delivery to our customers via our Specialist Hazardous Goods Delivery Service Company is weekdays only, from 8.00am to 7.00pm. During Peak Periods (Guy Fawkes Night and New Year Celebrations Orders) we deliver on weekends, from 8.00am to 10.00pm. Customers can also pick up their orders themselves to avoid any delivery charge.

Please make sure that when you enter a delivery address in our secure online order form there will be someone (aged 18 years or over) at that address to receive and sign for the delivery, enabling us and our delivery service provider to get your order to you quickly and efficiently.

We reserve the right to alter and change the methods of delivery, charges, and the delivery suppliers we use.

We reserve the right to refuse an order and refund the payment within 7 days of placing the order.

Under normal circumstances and for packages sent by our Specialist Hazardous Goods Delivery Service Company, our delivery partner will attempt to deliver the goods. If after the second attempt delivery cannot be completed the order will be returned to our delivery partners Head Office in Doncaster. Should it be necessary for our delivery partner to attempt delivery a second time, an extra charge may apply. Payment will always be taken before dispatch.

Tracking

Current UK Firework Regulations on the transportation of hazardous goods do not allow tracking of firework delivery vehicles.
